Expansion of the Holborn Business Improvement District into Bloomsbury and St Giles

The Holborn BID was renewed and expanded by ballot of businesses with a rateable value in excess of £60K. All businesses within the extended area will be subject to a levy of 0.9% of their rateable value from April 2010 for the next 5 years. Organisations with charity status will receive the same discount as they get with business rates. Importantly the BID extension takes in much of the south of Bloomsbury and the St Giles area.
