Pro-Choice Protest. 7pm, Friday 30 March, Bedford Square
If you object to the tactics being used by the '40 Days for Life' group who are targeting vulnerable women who are seeking advice from BPAS in Bedford Square you might like to attend a counter-protest in Bedford Square on Friday evening between 7pm and 8.30pm. This is being organised by the Bloomsbury Pro-Choice Alliance - 07591 420 027
We are of the opinion that the tactics being used by the 40 Days for Life group are unreasonable (some may say fanatical) and intimidating and should cease. In fact we consider their protest should be banned. If they want the BPAS service stopped they should lobby the government NOT the vulnerable women who seek informed advice.
BPAS operates a LEGAL service, and has over 40 years of experience of providing help to women with an unplanned pregnancy, or a pregnancy they choose not to continue with. The fact is that 1 in 3 women will have an abortion by the time they are 45 years of age. It is right that women should have a choice.
Every year BPAS helps thousands of women. BPAS is funded by the NHS and we consider they perform a valuable service to the community.
