About Camden Leaseholders Forum

We are a group democratically elected by all the leaseholders of Camden Council.  The Council looks to us for advice on leaseholder issues, and we have the right to ask Council officers to meet with us and send us reports.  But, the Council does not run the Forum; we are a voluntary group led by residents.  We meet monthly, normally with the Head of Home Ownership Services present, and advise Camden Council on its leasehold management.  We hold periodic open meetings where Camden leaseholders can raise issues with Forum members and with Council officials.  We work with Recognised Tenants' Associations (of leaseholders) and with other leaseholders across London.  We have representatives on the various housing advisory committees in Camden.  We run an open e-mail discussion site and put all our records and papers on the internet.  We also publish some advice to help individual leaseholders, though we do not normally deal with particular individuals and their problems.
