About St Giles Renaissance Forum

There is no need for St Giles to remain an ambiguous, ill defined and barren no-mans land. All stakeholders have an opportunity to create a 'new' St Giles, reverse the decades of neglect and decline and reject the crime and negative images of the area that have contributed in making St Giles one of the foremost open-air drug supermarkets in Britain and a disgrace to London.

This web site is set up to provide a means for better communication and bring the discussion into the public domain.

St Giles Renaissance Forum is made up of representatives all groups that have an interest in the proposed redevelopment of the St Giles area and Tottenham Court Undergorund Station as laid out in the Planning Framework consultation draft document issued by LB Camden in December 2003, and the London Plan.

We are hopefull that Denmark Street 'Tin Pan Alley', much of which dates from the late 1600's is firmly established as a conservation area and receives the long term investment to sustain it as a centre of excellence for the music industry.
